OBS: Le CIUC a été fondé officiellement le 4 août 1977, sous l'autorité du Secrétariat d'État (décision du Conseil du Trésor numéro 751264). Le 30 novembre 1978, le CIUC est passé sous l'autorité du ministère de la Justice (C.P. 3652, 1er décembre 1978). Son mandat a pris fin à l'automne 1984. Le Centre a fermé officiellement ses portes le 31 mars 1985.

OBS: The CUIO was formally established on August 4, 1977 and placed under the control of the office of the Secretary of State (Treasury Board Minute No. 751264). On 30 November 1978, responsibility for the CUIO was transferred to the Minister of Justice (P.C. 3652, 1 December 1978). In the autumn of 1984, the mandate of the Canadian Unity Information Office was terminated. The Office officially closed on 31 March 1985.
