CONT: Structure atomique (...) Dans le cas d'un métal pur, les grains ont des formes et des tailles voisines, mais des orientations variées (...) Lorsque les grains ont des orientations privilégiées, on dit que le métal possède une texture et ses propriétés ne sont alors plus isotropes.
OBS: Un agrégat polycristallin (métal, roche, polymère, etc.) sera (...) globalement isotrope si les cristaux qui le constituent sont très nombreux et orientés au hasard; dans le cas contraire, le matériau est dit ""texturé""; il est alors globalement anisotrope.
