Staff Model HMO

DOM: US managed care; USG: not to be confused with the Swiss use of HMO as an insurance model; EXP: this term is related to the US-notion of HMO as organisations that provide health insurance solutions arranged between selected health care providers, employers and emplyees according to the gatekeeper model; the Group Model is characterized by an HMO contracting with a medical group to serve the HMO's membership; other HMO models are the Staff Model and individual practice associations (IPAs)
