CONT: Construction et assurance [...] Suivant les dispositions du tarif des risques industriels, les bâtiments sont classés comme suit: construction ordinaire; construction incombustible ordinaire; construction incombustible de sécurité. Le vocable «incombustible» est pris au sens de limitation, au minimum des conséquences d'un feu.
OBS: Les Américains ont trouvé l'expression «fire resistive building», pour désigner un bâtiment construit entièrement en dur, c'est-à-dire en béton, en pierre et béton, ou en pierre, brique et béton. [...] Pour la traduire, on fera bien de dire: bâtiment de construction incombustible, ou encore bâtiment de construction ininflammable.

DEF: noncombustible construction. Type of construction in which a degree of fire safety is attained by the use of noncombustible materials for structural members and other building assemblies.
